In may of 2008 I revisited the barn on Highway SS.   This summer was a bit unusual.  We had many strong storms and wind
storms this summer. Something I have not seen in a while.  Unfortunately the wind was too much for this aging barn that
had been gutted!  I went out on a cloudy day and took pictures of the aftermath.  You can see the axe marks on the giant
beams from the day they were made in the 1800's.  The wood shingles still survived under a newer roof.

Unfortunately a few weeks later the rest of it came down  A truck came with a big trailer and they salvaged most of the wood.
Everything else they just burned.   Now all that stands there is a field stone foundation.   The house across the street from
the barn also had a fire in December of 2008.
